His work is inspired by the ancestral myths and symbols of the indigenous traditions o Mexico. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally including the Museo National de la Estampa in Mexico City, the Centro Nacional de la Habana in Havana, Cuba and the Legion of Honor and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.

He has been a member of the California Society of Printmakers since 1993, and has taught silk-screen printmaking at the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts since 1992.
