More than walls...

Every month we turn our walls into a warm gallery, to showcase local artists artwork. Since past December, Calixto Robles curated this beautiful art exhibit named "Winter". Don't be shy to ask, paints are available for purchase.

Calixto is a San Francisco-based painter, printmaker, and art instructor born in Oaxaca, Mexico. His work is inspired by the ancestral myths and symbols of the indigenous traditions o Mexico. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally including the Museo National de la Estampa in Mexico City, the Centro Nacional de la Habana in Havana, Cuba and the Legion of Honor and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.

He has been a member of the California Society of Printmakers since 1993, and has taught silk-screen printmaking at the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts since 1992.

Calixto will be joining us next Sunday at Sunday Street at Puerto Alegre offering printmaking demonstration! Don’t miss it!
